CommentsReally enjoyed these pages! You really did the artist justice with the greyscale. Only thing I'd say is that on the panels on page 12 I think when she grabs his jumper there should maybe be a few darker shadows where her hand is grabbing just to emphasise the force of the grab.
-- mnah mnah doo doo do do do! Alma,
Of course, I am sure you realize it is far too late to make such an astutely observed correction. The work was published several years ago now. However, I would like to commend you for being one of the very few to take seriously my request that I receive serious critiques. For that you have my gratitude. Although I have been quite ill the last several months, leading up to and following life saving surgery in January, I have a piece in my gallery which is a work in progress, entitled; "Jade Sceptor". It is the first of a new series of original works I will be doing over the next few years that will take my portfolio to a whole new level. The work is very important to me. I would deeply appreciate it if you would agree to critique this piece once it is finished, and the following works I plan to create as soon after as my health will allow, for as long as you are a member of this site, and are willing to do so. It would mean a very great deal to me. I may have commented on your gallery previously, but allow me to say here that I like your work very much. Your female characters are delightful, and your comic pages demonstrate a neat grasp of the techniques which make good sequential art stand out from the pack. I have a rather personal appreciation for asian females, and so particularly enjoyed those specific works in your gallery. Upon your request, I would be happy to critique any current or future work of yours that you point out to me. I was an art director for nearly fifteen years during my career, with as many as nine artists working under my direct supervision, before I turned to freelance full-time. I would consider it a priveledge to provide you with professional level critques as and when you desire. Once again, thank you for your thoughtful consideration of my work. I look forward to your continuing comments in the future. -- Glad to say that "keeping up with the joneses" no longer means it's time to go see my dealer... ________________________________________________ Napkins? Heh, heh... Napkins? We don' need no stinkin' napkins! I'm very sorry to hear you're in poor health at the moment and I hope you'll be somewhere near on the mend in the near future.
I would be delighted to offer critic on yr piece "Jade Sceptor" once it's completed and will take it very seriously. I'd also be very grateful for any critic you offer to me on any of my pieces. I always love to hear new points of view especially from someone such as yourself who has been in the business for such a long time. Thank you again for such thoughtful comments on my gallery-I really appreciate it. Almaxxx -- mnah mnah doo doo do do do! My pleasure.
